Learning Lab Training in Memphis 2025

February 25-26, 2025

The Learning Lab Training is a space for learner-centered builders — K-12 educators, out-of-school time professionals, researchers, and young people (ages 14+) — who are already reimagining education. This gathering is a powerful step forward in our shared journey, offering a foundation to learn together, create connections, and deepen national partnerships with those committed to an equitable education system that fosters holistic development and life outcomes for each and every young person.

For this training, Education Reimagined is thrilled to partner with Crosstown High, a shining example of how learner-centered education can sit at the intersection of art, business, and education. Their team has welcomed us to their space, giving us the opportunity to tour their campus and gain insights from their team. This training is an opportunity to connect, share, and learn—not only about Crosstown High but also about our diverse learner-centered efforts across the country, including yours.

Overview

Purpose: The Learning Lab Training lays a foundation for deeper connection and partnership amongst a national community of learner-centered practitioners, researchers, and other professionals across the field committed to:

• The holistic development of young people, cultivating their unique interests, needs, and goals within and for community; and
• Equitable life outcomes for every young person, of every race, background, and circumstance.

Outcomes: During our two days together, we will: 

• Ground ourselves in a learner-centered vision and recognize our contributions to bringing it to life in communities.
• Connect with other learner-centered leaders and create relationships that can last a lifetime
• Gain facility with a national learner-centered framework that increases our ability to partner and advance the approach.
• Grow our collective awareness about the current state of learner-centered education, including practices, research, and policies shaping the national landscape.
• See new opportunities in service of advancing the impact and building the credibility of the learner-centered field.

Agenda: Our agenda will continue to evolve and change, but the below is intended to provide you a sense of our time together. Expect a mix of small and whole group conversations, deep discussions and uplifting celebration, and time to reflect both individually and together.

• The Learning Lab Training 2025 will take place at Crosstown High in Crosstown Concourse (1365 Tower Ave, Memphis, TN 38104).
• Education Reimagined has reserved rooms at Hotel Indigo for $109/night. This cost is separate from your registration.
  
  You don’t need to book your own hotel. Additional lodging details will be provided after you register.

Scholarships? Please contact Nayan Bhula (nayan@educationreimagined.org) before registering, if costs present a barrier to your participation. Limited scholarships are available. Education Reimagined encourages participants to cover as much of their own registration, travel, and lodging as possible.

Step 3: After you register, you’ll receive a required survey to complete. This survey helps us get to know you better—covering everything from your purpose in education, your dietary restrictions, and a photo for our participant book.
